Sandman
SYNOPSIS
The saga of Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams, reaches its highly anticipated final issue in the Definitive Editions series – excluding PRELUDE – in a volume that brings together stories created in partnership with legends of comics and illustration. The fifth volume maintains the tradition of its distinctive format (18.5 by 27.5 cm) and features: SANDMAN: ENDLESS NIGHTS – in which a team of illustrators worthy of Gaiman's most ambitious dreams was assembled to tell a story of each of the Endless; DREAM HUNTERS, presented in its two versions: illustrated prose and comics; and SANDMAN'S MIDNIGHT THEATRE – which features the unusual encounter between Wesley Dodds – the original Sandman – and Morpheus. In addition, there's The Last Sandman Story, a short adventure illustrated by the brilliant Dave McKean, who also designed the cover for this volume. And of course, there are dozens of pages of extras, a gallery of original covers, the script for The Heart of a Star, and other attractions in 522 pages of dreamlike delirium.
