The Complete Peanuts
Charles M. Schulz
FROM THE EDITOR
It isn't hard to imagine Charles Schulz in the 60s, sitting at his desk, writing and drawing these strips and laughing to himself. Maybe he was remembering a situation he lived, read about, or saw during his day, and was simply transporting it onto the paper... What’s difficult for me to imagine is if he knew how these stories, written 60 years ago, would still feel so current and make readers reflect on their modern lives. This is definitely a CLASSIC, MUST-READ, STAFF PICK, KEY ISSUE, ESSENTIAL, and every other stamp this system lists for me (if only I could select them all). I find myself reading it over and over. I just pick a page, relax, and laugh. I feel for Charlie Brown, put myself in his shoes, and sometimes in the other characters' shoes, too. Let's be honest: we all have a little Lucy in us sometimes. If you haven't sat down with these strips lately, do yourself a favor and dive back in. Good grief, it’s worth it.
